GPSR Checklist for Non-EU Sellers

Before selling to EU customers, check whether your product, listing, label, safety warnings, and evidence records are ready under GPSR.Can you show that your product is identifiable, traceable, and reasonably checked for safety?This checklist helps you review product risk, listing information, label information, safety warnings, evidence records, and response steps before offering products to EU customers.

Product Risk Check

  • Is the product non-electrical?

  • Is it not a toy or child-targeted product?

  • Is it not cosmetic, food-contact, medical, or PPE?

  • Are the main materials known?

  • Are there any small parts, sharp edges, chemicals, heat, or fire risks?

Listing & Label Check

  • Product name and photos are clear.

  • Product type, material, and intended use are described.

  • Manufacturer details are available.

  • EU Responsible Person details are shown if needed.

  • Safety warnings or age restrictions are included if relevant.

  • Listing, label, and product documents match.

Safety Warning Check

  • Small parts or choking risks are checked.

  • Sharp edge, skin contact, allergy, or metal sensitivity risks are checked.

  • Fire, heat, chemical, fragrance, or irritation risks are checked.

  • “Decorative use only” or “not for children” is added if relevant.

  • Warning text is short, specific, and visible.

Evidence Check

  • Product and packaging photos are saved.

  • Supplier or manufacturer information is saved.

  • Material information is saved.

  • Invoice, purchase record, or supplier message is saved.

  • Test report or declaration is saved if available.

  • Basic risk review and warning text are saved.

Final Decision

  • The product looks suitable for basic GPSR review.

  • The listing and label can be completed.

  • Basic evidence can be collected.

  • No obvious high-risk issue is unresolved.

  • If unsure, request a product fit review before selling to the EU.
